The SS Thistlegorm is one of the most iconic wreck dives in the world, and a must-see for experienced divers visiting the Red Sea. This British cargo ship was sunk in 1941 during World War II after being bombed by German aircraft, and today it rests intact on the sandy seabed, serving as both a historic monument and a thriving artificial reef.

The wreck’s holds are filled with fascinating cargo — motorcycles, trucks, jeeps, ammunition crates, and military supplies — many still arranged as they were at the time of the sinking. Swimming through the decks and cargo holds feels like stepping back in time, offering a rare glimpse into history beneath the waves.

Over the decades, marine life has transformed the Thistlegorm into a vibrant underwater habitat. Schools of snapper, fusiliers, and batfish weave through the wreck, while reef sharks, barracudas, and eagle rays are often spotted in the surrounding waters. Soft corals and sponges cover much of the ship’s structure, creating colorful contrasts with the steel and cargo. Visibility is usually excellent, making it possible to explore multiple levels of the ship in a single dive.

At the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula, Ras Mohammed offers some of the most spectacular reefs and marine life in the Red Sea. Protected as a national park, the area is famous for its sheer walls, swim-throughs, and caves, plus regular encounters with reef sharks, hammerheads, turtles, and huge schools of fish.

A classic Sharm site with a dramatic wall, caves, and abundant reef life. The famous lighthouse point marks where the reef drops into the blue. Depths and conditions suit all levels, and the site is known for encounters with napoleon wrasse, barracuda, and turtles.

A gentle site ideal for beginners and relaxed dives. The Gardens features shallow coral gardens and calm conditions, with plenty of reef fish and occasional turtles.
